我每天面对的不是“高原”这个词，而是一头头牛、一场场天气，以及每一个需要做出的判断。I DO NOT FACE AN IDEA CALLED ‘THE PLATEAU’. I FACE ANIMALS, WEATHER AND THE NEXT DECISION.

我最初对养牦牛几乎一无所知。当地伙伴教我辨认牛群、理解季节，也替我承担了许多我看不见的劳动。牧场让我重新认识“拥有”：牛群不是静止的财富，它们每天都在吃草、生长、生产、受伤，甚至死亡。

I arrived knowing almost nothing about yak husbandry. Local partners taught me to read the herd and the seasons. The pasture changed what ownership meant: these are living beings, not wealth standing still.

The film lasts seconds; the search takes much longer.

小牦牛走过泥地A CALF FINDS ITS FEET

四条腿还不完全协调，它已经开始认识围栏外的空间。

Its legs are still uncertain; the world beyond the fence has already begun.

一头小牦牛停下THE CALF LOOKS BACK

它看向镜头，身后是用树枝搭起的围栏。

It stops before a fence made from branches and looks back.

牛群中的一张脸ONE FACE IN THE HERD

靠近以后，“牛群”这个词重新变成一个个具体生命。

Up close, the word ‘herd’ returns to individual lives.

我从城里来到村里，后来很自然地开始做连接：让朋友吃到来自这里的东西，也让物产有一条走出去的路。

The work began as a connection: food from here reaching friends elsewhere, and local harvests finding a road outward.
